When looking to buy and sell a home in the Triad of North Carolina. Do you look at the signs around town, see a face and think that is who I want to represent me. Think about that, if the largest part of the sign is their face what are they trying to sell, is it that particular home? How about the wrapped cars and advertisements you see, I have one simple question what is featured? Is it someone’s home they are trying to sell? If you see Total Care Realty’s advertisements the one central theme is that there is one of our homes being marketed for sale. So if you are not looking at the advertisements, are you checking the third party real estate websites like Zillow, Trulia, or realtor.com? Do you look at the data that they have since we all trust the Zestimates so much. Are those statistics for them our their team?
How about a tried and true method of finding the best agent for yourself. Ask for a referral from your friends, family, or coworkers. A word of mouth personal referral is many times the best source. Secondly, you need to interview any agent. Ask to meet with that particular agent, think of some questions you would like to ask. What are your priorities; do you want a high level of communication, do you prefer text & email to phone calls, do you care if you are “handed off” to assistants once you go under contract? What is your timeline to making a decision, and when do you need to move? One thing to notice when you interview an agent, do they talk more then they listen, and do they dictate to you how this is going to work versus asking you what you would need and want.
