The Writing on The Wall?

RE/MAX LLC Sells Last Corporate-Owned Brokerages. This was a headline today in RISMedia. So we ask what does it say when the corporate parent company does not even want to own it’s own offices? I have seen this in restaurant companies that have declined in sales in order to bolster their income. They say it is so they can concentrate on building the market and “growth of the brand”.

In today’s market of ever-growing, and changing technology the small independent “boutique firms” actually have the advantage. The internet has been one of the great equalizer’s by enabling everyone to have a presence in front of the world-wide web. The Writing on The Wall_blogPNo longer do you need a BIG BOX FIRM to help you buy or sell real estate. Actually the independent firms have the most technology, full service, and can react to changes in the market. As an independent firm Total Care Realty does not need corporate approval to do anything. If we see some technology whether it be hardware or software that we think will help our clients or agents I can acquire it that day! Case in point a year ago I found the 3D technology that was being utilized for real estate listings. So I ordered it that day however we had to wait for months for it to be delivered. Total Care Realty was the first in our market to have this technology. We are still the only real estate firm to own this in our market. When it comes to selling your home in the Triad of NC now one can showcase your home like Total Care Realty can.

Actually if you ask me one is better served using an independent brokerage but I may be just a bit biased in that decision. However, don’t ask me instead ask our clients.
